Sarawak Covid-19 case count drops to 309, Kuching contributes 100

KUCHING, Feb 20: Kuching recorded 100 new Covid-19 cases as Sarawak saw a total of 309 cases reported overall across the State today.

According to the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), Kuching was the only district which saw a three-digit case count for the day, followed by Miri with 57 cases, Sibu (54), Kapit (22), Bintulu (21), and Limbang (11).

Serian and Song reported nine and six new infections respectively while Lawas, Samarahan, Lundu, Kanowit, Bukit Mabong, and Subis recorded three cases each.

Other districts with new cases were Sarikei (2), Mukah (2), Betong (2), Sri Aman (1), Bau (1), Asajaya (1), Matu (1) and Telang Usan (1).

The cumulative number of Covid-19 cases Statewide now stands at 256,377.

By severity, there were 152 cases in Category 1, 154 cases in Category 2, one case in Category 3 and two cases in Category 5.

No new deaths or clusters were reported today. As of today, there are two active clusters in Sarawak. — DayakDaily
