BINTULU, Oct 3: The search for Puteri Nurardiana Damia Qaisara Abdullah has entered into its sixth day today, but search and rescue (SAR) personnel has yet to find any trace of the six-year-old since she was reported missing on Sept 28.
The Sarawak Fire and Rescue (Bomba) Department have joined the search, together with police, Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency, Civil Defence Force and members of the public.
Nurardiana’s family lodged a police report on the same day after realising she went missing from their house in Kampung Baru Laut, here, last Saturday.
The girl, about 120cm tall, weighs 18kg and fair-skinned with shoulder-length straight hair, was last seen wearing a purple T-shirt and red coloured shorts.
According to Bomba, the search radius expanded to two kilometres from the family’s home, combing the area and river.
“Today’s SAR was divided into two sections, one on water by Bomba and police marine, while another team consisting of police, police K9 and civil defence, on land,” the department said.
A National Urgent Response (Nur) Alert has also been issued. — DayakDaily
