KUCHING, March 25: Residents of Samarahan Division are expected to experience water supply disruptions for 12 hours from 6pm on March 26 (Saturday) to 6am on March 27 (Sunday).

Sarawak Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB) said the affected areas include Tambirat, Asajaya, Sadong, Kampung Ensenggei Iban/Melayu, Seruyuk and Ladong.

The disruption is due to pipeline connection works at Tambirat Booster Pump Station by the appointed contractor to improve the water supply system in Asajaya district and surrounding areas.

“It will take some time for the water pressure to recover gradually after the connection works, especially in areas located at the ‘endpoint’.

“We apologise for any inconveniences caused and greatly appreciate the patience of consumers during this period,” said JBALB in a statement today.

All the latest developments related to the pipeline connection work will be constantly updated through the JBALB Sarawak social media platform.

Users in the affected areas may contact the JBALB Sarawak Call Center at 082-2622211 for any complaints, inquiries and updates related to the work. — DayakDaily
