Sadong Jaya man fatally attacked by crocodile, body found with bite marks

SADONG JAYA, Feb 18: The body of a 30-year-old man was found intact but bearing crocodile bite marks on his abdomen, following a tragic attack at Sungai Buloh Bridge.

Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Asajaya reported that local fishermen discovered the body approximately three kilometers from the search and rescue (SAR) control post at around 2.22pm today.

His remains were brought to the post and formally identified by the victim’s family.

The victim, Mohd Faizal Abdilah, was reportedly fishing with a friend along the riverbank when he entered waist-deep waters and was attacked by the crocodile yesterday (Feb 17).

SAR operations were immediately launched by a combined team from the Bomba, police, civil defence, Peoples’ Volunteer Corps (RELA), Sarawak Security and Enforcement Unit (UKPS), Fishermen Association and local residents.

The SAR operation concluded at 3pm after the victim was handed over to police for further investigation. — DayakDaily
