“Sarawak JKR was open to giving advice and sharing their experiences as the Pan Borneo Sarawak project is at 99 per cent completion.

“This will allow their counterparts from Sabah to learn from them and prevent and improve on their mistakes in the Pan Borneo Sabah package,” he said.

He said this during a press conference at the Sabah JKR headquarters yesterday.

According to Ahmad, as of August this year, Phase 1A of the Pan Borneo project in Sabah has achieved progress of 79.48 per cent compared to the project in Sarawak, which is at 99 per cent completion.

Ahmad also advised concessionaires and JKR staff who will be involved in the development of Package 1B to take note of the delay that occurred in Package 1A.

Meanwhile, Ahmad said that RM39.6 billion was allocated to develop Sabah under the Works Ministry, including RM26.6 billion for the Pan Borneo Highway Sabah project. — DayakDaily
