KUCHING, April 25: Pending assemblywoman Violet Yong has dispelled rumours that Computerised Vehicle Inspection Centre (Puspakom) Kuching is charging extra for lorries with advertisements.
In a press statement today, Yong said rumours were rife that lorries with advertisements would need to pay a surcharge of RM150 for big lorries and RM100 for small lorries when commercial vehicles go for checking at Puspakom.
To dispel the rumours, Yong contacted Minister of Transport Anthony Loke and was informed by the latter that Puspakom did not implement such a policy and no additional charges had been placed on lorries or trucks with advertisements.
As such, Yong appealed to the public to report directly to her or to Puspakom in the event they are charged extra. ā DayakDaily
