RTP projects expected to resolve drainage issues in Kg Tepi Laut in Belawai

KUCHING, Feb 7: The completion of two Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) projects is expected to resolve drainage issues in Kampung Tepi Laut, Belawai.

According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) today, Tanjong Manis MP Yusuf Abdul Wahab said much planning and studies have been carried out prior to the implementation of the 600-metre-long Phase 1 drainage project which costs RM500,000.

“The project will be implemented over a period of eight months starting from February to October 2022, by the selected contractor, Amlan Enterprise,” he said.

He revealed Phase 2 of the project will be launched by Kuala Rajang assemblyman Datu Len Talif Salleh when Phase 1 is completed.

He also said currently, the project is being managed by the Mukah Division of the Irrigation and Drainage Department (DID). — DayakDaily
