KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 4: The fuel prices for RON97 and RON95 for the period from September 5 to 11 will be adjusted downward by one sen a litre.
However, diesel prices remained unchanged as compared to last week.
According to Finance Ministry in a press statement, the weekly setting of the retail price for petroleum products for the period of September 5 to 11 follows the automatic pricing mechanism (APM).
Hence, the ministry said the retail price for RON97 and RON95 were decreased to reflect the changes.
It revealed that the price for RON97 will be decreased by one sen to RM2.01 per litre while the price for RON95 will be adjusted downward by one sen to RM1.71 a litre.
The Finance Ministry added diesel price for September 5 to 11 will remain the same at RM1.78 a litre.
It asserted that the federal government is closely monitoring the effect of the changes in crude oil price and taking appropriate measures to ensure that the welfare of the people are taken care of. —DayakDaily
