“I was appointed two days ago and accepted the appointment. That is all I can confirm.

“I cannot make any other further statement as there has been no meeting or briefing due to MCO (movement control order).

“Only after the MCO is over, and after I have a meeting with the board members, would I be able to comment more on my post,” he told DayakDaily.

Prior to being an MP for Betong, Robert was the assemblyman for Bukit Saban for two terms from 2006 to 2016.

Between 2011 to 2016, he was appointed Assistant Minister of Welfare, Women and Family Development.
