KUCHING, July 23: A temporary road diversion will be implemented at Jalan Tun Jugah, in front of Premier 101 Food Centre here, beginning today (July 23) until Feb 16, 2026, to facilitate construction work for viaduct pillars.
According to a notice issued by Sarawak Metro Sdn Bhd (Sarawak Metro), the diversion will be in effect 24 hours daily for a period of seven months.
The road diversion is necessary to ensure the safety of road users and construction workers as work progresses at the site.
“Road users are advised to be cautious when driving in the area listed above.
“Please adhere to all traffic management control measures, road warning signs and speed limits, to ensure the safety of road users and construction workers,” it said.
Sarawak Metro assured that it would duly notify the public should there be any changes to this notification.
Road users are also urged to plan their journeys accordingly.
