KUCHING, Nov 15: Road closures and detours will be implemented along the Jalan Semerah Padi traffic light junction until the Bukit Siol roundabout from Nov 16-17 to make way for the DBKU Road Race 2.0 and DBKU Criterium Race 3.0.
Sarawak Commissioner of Police Dato Mancha Ata, in a statement today, said the closures or detours will be implemented starting from 6am for both days until the race is finished.
“The road from Bomba Samariang traffic light junction until the Semerah Padi traffic light junction however will be partially closed during the period,” he said.
He said that Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) IPK Sarawak will ensure safety for road users during the events, including minimising traffic congestion.
He also advises road users to plan their journey during the two days and to follow traffic control signs when passing through the affected road.
