SIBU, Feb 11: The RM76 million Teku–Pasai–Kemuyang road project, set to significantly shorten travel time between the three areas, is on track for completion by September 2027.
The key infrastructure initiative continues to receive close attention from the Sarawak government to ensure its smooth implementation in line with planning, as it is expected to serve as a major catalyst for local development and economic growth.
According to a Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) news, Deputy Minister for Education and Innovation Datuk Dr Annuar Rapa’ee visited the project site on Tuesday (Feb 10) to assess the progress of construction works on the ground.
Funded entirely by the Sarawak government, the project is anticipated to enhance connectivity between Teku, Pasai and Kemuyang, while opening up greater opportunities for development in the surrounding areas.
During the visit, Dr Annuar, who is also the Nangka assemblyman, expressed satisfaction with the progress achieved thus far and voiced hope that the project would be completed according to schedule for the benefit of the people. — DayakDaily
