KUCHING, Feb 24: All civil servants with Grade 56 and below, including contract appointments, will receive RM700 as special assistance for Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
In tabling Budget 2023 in Parliament today, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said government retirees will also get RM350.
“God willing, payment will be made in April 2023,” he added.
Meanwhile, Anwar also said the Federal government is proposing to increase authorised early redemption of GCR up to 50 per cent which is a maximum of 90 days.
He said this effort is expected to help civil servants in need, following the increase of Leave Replacement (GCR) maximum rate from 160 to 180 days. — DayakDaily
