KUCHING, Dec 16: A RM300,000 allocation under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) 2025 has been approved to upgrade facilities at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Mejar Jeneral Dato Ibrahim, Kem Semenggo, aimed at improving school infrastructure and providing a safer, more conducive learning environment for students and teachers.

The allocation covers Phase 2 upgrading works and was recently formalised through the handover of the Letter of Award to the appointed ‘cabut undi’ contractor, Syarikat Pakar Bumiputra.

Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap said the upgrading works will focus on improving school infrastructure to ensure a safer and more conducive learning environment for both students and teachers.

“Continuous improvements to school facilities are necessary to support effective teaching and learning. This allocation reflects our commitment to ensuring schools remain safe, functional and conducive for learning,” he said in a recent statement.

Also present were Semenggo Camp commander Lieutenant Colonel Badrul Hisham and officers from the Public Works Department (JKR). — DayakDaily
