KUCHING, Dec 6: A total of RM110,000 was allocated to village, security, and development committees (JKKKs), Rumah Panjang Jana in Batu Matop, and the Julau District Police Headquarters (IPD) to support community safety initiatives.

He said this after attending a community programme organised by the Julau IPD at Rumah Panjang Jana in Julau recently.

“Programmes like this are important in preventing online scams, addressing drug and vape abuse, strengthening cooperation between the community and authorities, and safeguarding family safety and health.

“I would like to remind everyone to always stay vigilant. Criminals do not choose their targets—whether in urban or rural areas, anyone can fall victim,” he said.

Nanta, who is also the federal Minister of Works, urged the public to seek advice from trusted parties if they have doubts or have received suspicious offers online.

“Do not allow yourself or your family to be exploited by irresponsible individuals.

“I remain committed to assisting in any way I can for the safety and well-being of our community,” he said. — DayakDaily
