KUCHING, Sep 29: RJ Realty (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd, a reputable Sarawak-based and multi-award winning real estate development company, is going for the Green Building Index (GBI) accreditation for its property projects, beginning with its high-rise residential development d’Isabelle at Jalan Dogan.
RJ Group of Companies chief executive officer (CEO) Datuk Lily Lim said this is the next endeavour of RJ Group in its journey in building quality homes for present and future generations with special emphasis on sustainability through embracing the green building concept.
“This is in line with Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg’s aspiration and leadership, and the Sarawak Housing and Real Estate Developers’ Association’s (Sheda) outreach efforts.
“It is also one of our company’s Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) goals to leave a great impact in greening the State under the sustainability agenda,” she said.
Lim believed that through attaining GBI certification, which meets both the international standard of green rating and the building’s physical performance, RJ Group is able to distinguish themselves as a responsible real estate developer with the interests of homeowners and the environment in mind.
In this regard, RJ Group has appointed Greenscapes Sdn Bhd as its green consultant to provide professional services pertaining to green buildings and technologies, and properties.
Meanwhile, Lim revealed that RJ Group’s latest development, d’Isabelle, will be the first high-rise residential development in Sarawak to pursue the GBI certification.
d’Isabelle, located at Jalan Dogan, will feature 330 units of apartments with commercial spaces to serve the locale.
The elevated facilities level at d’Isabelle will feature a myriad of green spaces for outdoor lounging and exercise. Other lifestyle amenities on offer cater to all walks of life, including a family room with a kids’ play area.
The residential units will showcase exclusively 3 and 3+1 bedroom floor plans with well-appointed spatial proportions.
RJ Group director Ryonna Chuo said lifestyles have changed after the Covid-19 pandemic, and d’Isabelle will feature residences that are large enough to be used as live/work and leisure spaces.
“Our living spaces should be adaptive and evolve with your needs, whether it’s welcoming a new family member or working from home.
“We’ve curated the spaces for a new generation of homeowners, hence the tagline, ‘A Home of Our Own’,” she added.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with GBI was signed at RJ Realty Sdn Bhd at the Green Heights Commercial Centre here earlier today, by Chuo and GBI general manager Andrew Kong, witnessed by Lim and RJ Group director Andrew Yu. — DayakDaily
