Riot: South Korean investors looking for opportunities to exploit IR 4.0

KUCHING, July 23: The high-technology industry, digital economy and halal food sector that are related to Industrial Revolution 4.0 will become the focus of South Korean investors in the near future.

The Prime Minister’s special envoy to East Asia Datuk Seri Richard Riot Jaem highlighted this after receiving a courtesy visit from South Korea’s Ambassador to Malaysia HE Lee Chi Beom at a hotel in Kuala Lumpur today.

“Among the matters we discussed include South Korean investment in Malaysia.


“More than 350 big companies from South Korea have invested and set up their bases in Malaysia including Hyundai and Samsung,” he revealed in a press statement today.

Riot, who is also Serian MP, was confident that the meeting and discussions will lead to fruitful collaborations and outcomes in the near future.

“At the end of the discussion, I also invited HE Lee to Sarawak, especially Serian to celebrate the Gawai Dayak with the community in 2021,” he added. — DayakDaily
