Richard Wee re-elected Federation of Chinese Associations of S’wak president for 2025–2028 term

KUCHING, Dec 16: Dato’ Sri Richard Wee Liang Huat has been re-elected as president of the Federation of Chinese Associations of Sarawak and will serve for a further three terms from 2025 to 2028.

According to a press release, this followed the federation’s recent annual delegates conference, which saw the election of the 20th Term Management Committee.

During the conference, the delegates expressed their unanimous endorsement to re-elect Wee as its leader, which is in recognition of his leadership and dedication during the preceding term, particularly his contributions to the federation’s long-term development and the advancement of the Federation’s building project.

The conference also saw Dato Dr Ngu Piew Seng elected deputy president, with Lim Ah Ted as secretary-general, Datuk Yii Chi Hau as the treasurer, as well as the Management Committee Members of the 20th Term (2025–2028).

Moving forward, the new committee vows to uphold the principles of unity and cooperation, further strengthen the federation’s organisational development, enhance services to member associations, contribute positively to society, and diligently implement its development plans, thereby laying a solid foundation for sustainable and long-term growth.

In his address, Wee expressed his appreciation to all member associations and delegates for their continued confidence and support, and affirmed his commitment to working closely with the new management committee to further advance the objectives of the Federation and to serve the wider community. — DayakDaily
