Apart from watching demonstrations by firefighters, villagers also had the opportunity to go ‘hands-on’ by using fire extinguishers (APA) to extinguish kitchen stove fires.

“This is to ensure that these folks know how to operate APA when an emergency occurs,” Samalaju fire station chief Hashim Norshidi said.

In addition, longhouse chief Sagoh Muyan received four APA units from Bomba. — DayakDaily
