Returning supermarket thief caught red handed

The suspect was tied up to prevent from him from escaping the scene.

KUCHING, Jan 20: A man suspected to have been stealing from a supermarket at Mile 7, Penrissen Road, here, was apprehended by the supermarket staff when he returned to the premise yesterday.

The suspect, in his 30s, was attempting to steal some items at the supermarket when he was caught red handed by one of the workers.


“A check on the supermarket’s surveillance camera recording confirmed that the suspect was the person who had been stealing from the premise,” a source said.

The suspect was later handed over to the police and expected to be remanded for further investigation. — DayakDaily
