KUCHING, July 6: A rented room above a shoplot at Berjaya Commercial Centre in Bintulu is among seven new areas revealed as placed under an Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) today.
The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement said the rented room is currently under EMCO from July 5 to 18.
Kampung Mambong in Kuching is also under EMCO effective July 7 to 20.
Other areas under EMCO include five longhouses in Sarikei (2), Saratok (2), and Julau (1).
They are Rh Nugu, Kerubong Selalang, Sarikei (July 6 to 22); Rh Luing, Sg Pama Gerugu Nyelong, Sarikei (July 7 to 23); Rh Anita, Balai Badak, Kampung Klampai, Saratok (July 7 to 23); Rh Abing, Lubuk Kerikap, Sebetan, Saratok (July 7 to 23); and Rh Lidom, Nanga Enseluai, Julau (July 6 to 22).
SDMC also extended the EMCO in force at Kampung Po Ai, Sri Aman from July 7 to 13.
At the same time, the committee announced the end of EMCO in 14 areas today namely, a rented room at Beverly Hills, Bintulu; quarters of Ling Hock Transport Sdn Bhd, Bintulu; Rh Sebat Agang, KM5, Jalan Samarakan, Ulu Segan, Bintulu; a rented room above a shoplot near Hii Auto Service Centre, Medan Jaya, Bintulu; Rh Edwin Engkulau Jelani, Nanga Belungai, Tatau; Rh Jawa, Sungai Selangan, Sarikei; Rh Jampang, Kampung Munggu Sawa, Lingga, Sri Aman; Rh Wilson Bana, Kampung Po Ai, Sri Aman; quarters of Union Engineering (Signa Jaya) Bintulu; Rh Mara, Gran C, Tanjung Bijat, Sri Aman; Rh Andrew, Kampung Nanga San, Sri Aman; Rh Darwin, Kampung San Demam, Sri Aman; Kampung Sadong Jaya Laut, Asajaya; and Kampung Gawang, Simunjan. — DayakDaily
