KUCHING, April 13: Kuching South City Council (MBKS) has issued a notice regarding two units of abandoned heavy construction machinery in the parking area of a public park on Lorong Muara Tabuan 2A, warning that the vehicles must be removed from the public area within two weeks or face impoundment.

According to a press release issued today by MBKS, the machines are a Dynapac CP20W wheel pneumatic roller and a Mitsubishi MF44WB asphalt finisher that were discovered unattended in the park’s parking spaces.

A notice under the Local Authorities (Cleanliness) By Laws, 1999 has also been issued and pasted on the respective machines for removal.

“If the owner fails to do so, the Council would assume that the machines be regarded as waste, in which case we will remove them from the location and have them disposed of accordingly.

“No claim (over the machines) will be entertained after this two-week period. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation,” MBKS stated. — DayakDaily
