Relief as Sarawak back to zero new Covid-19 cases today

KUCHING, July 14: No new Covid-19 positive cases were recorded in Sarawak today.

Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) chairman Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah said the total cumulative cases to-date remains at 580.

“We’ve recorded two new recoveries, with the number of those who have recovered from the disease and were discharged at 554 persons, or 95.52 per cent of the total Covid-19 cases in the state.


“Only eight active cases are still being warded at hospital isolation wards statewide,” he added.

No new deaths were reported, and the death toll from the virus remains at 18.

SDMC also recorded 20 new Persons-Under-Investigation (PUI) cases with 12 still awaiting lab test results. — DayakDaily
