KUCHING, April 2: There will only be 68 stalls in the Ramadan bazaar held within Kuching South City Council’s (MBKS) jurisdiction this year, says MBKS mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng.

He said unlike the previous Ramadan bazaar in 2019 which housed 122 stalls, standard operating procedures (SOPs) must still be observed this time.

“SOPs must continue. Face masks and social distancing are still compulsory.

“I personally think that despite the borders being opened, and many SOPs have been omitted, we should still maintain all the necessary SOPs for the safety and health of all citizens.

“It is my responsibility as mayor to protect everyone,” he said during the ShallWeeTalk Facebook livestream today.
