KUCHING, Dec 4: Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah arrived at Kuching International Airport (LTAK) earlier today for the start of a four-day visit to Kuching.
Her Majesty’s arrival at 1.26pm via a special flight was welcomed by Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tuanku Bujang, the wife of the Premier of Sarawak.
Following her arrival this afternoon, Her Majesty visited the Songket Workshop of the Puncak Borneo Prison at Puncak Borneo Prison Complex, and is scheduled to attend the Food Over Fire Festival & Theater event at Fort Margherita, later this evening.
Tomorrow, Her Majesty is scheduled to go to Damai Golf & Country Club, Santubong, while in the afternoon she will visit Tan Sri Datuk Amar Abang Ahmad Urai’s Heritage House in Jalan Muda Hashim for the launching of the Kampung Heritage Trail featuring the said Heritage House.
The Raja Permaisuri Agong will return to Kuala Lumpur on Thursday (Dec 8).
Also present to welcome Her Majesty’s arrival was the Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali. — DayakDaily
