KUCHING, March 28: Six hundred packets of ‘bubur lambuk’ were distributed to Samariang constituents at the Kampung Lintang Multipurpose Hall today.

According to a Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) news report, the distribution of the packets of ‘bubur lambuk’, which is a staple during the Ramadan season and courtesy of the Ragad Foundation, was officiated by the Head of State’s wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Ragad Kurdi Taib, who was with her son.

A recipient, Suhaili Suria, stated that such a programme should be held annually.

“It is not necessarily only one agency that donates, there may also be mosques and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) that will donate,” said Suhaili.

Another recipient, Sheril Syafyqa, sees the programme as one that will help bring people closer.

“Through the programme, villagers can work together and strengthen the relationship between them,” said Sheril. — DayakDaily
