QRO centre and quarantine wristband removal centre relocated to Miri Stadium

KUCHING, Sept 20: The Quarantine Release Order (QRO) centre and Quarantine Wristband Removal Centre in Miri division have been relocated to Miri Stadium, starting yesterday (Sept 19).

According to a report from Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) today, the Miri Divisional Disaster Management Committee (DDMC), in disclosing this yesterday, said obtaining both release orders and wristband removal at the new location will be conducted via ‘drive-thru’ for the public’s convenience.

“Both centres are open from Monday until Thursday, from 8.30am until 4pm (break from 12.30pm until 2pm), and on Friday, the operating hours are from 8.30am until 4pm (break from 11.45am until 2.15pm), while on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays, the centres are open from 8.30am until 12.30pm,” the report revealed.


Miri DDMC also announced the relocation of its Covid-19 Assessment Centre (CAC) in Miri Stadium to the Miri Civic Centre, effective today (Sept 20).

At the new location, the CAC will be open for seven days a week, starting at 8am until 5pm.

To date, Miri has three Covid-19 management facilities, namely at Miri Indoor Stadium, Miri Outdoor Stadium and Miri Civic Centre.

Miri Indoor Stadium still serves as a Covid-19 sampling centre, as well as for issuing quarantine orders and quarantine wristbands. — DayakDaily
