KUCHING, Dec 18: Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) president Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh retained the N53 Bawang Assan seat with a slim majority of 913 votes in a five-cornered fight.
In a tight race, Wong who has held the seat for six terms polled 5,952 votes to beat Robert Lau Hui Yew of Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) who obtained 5,039 votes.
Democratic Action Party’s (DAP) Amy Lau Bik Yieng was in third place with 1,173 votes.
Michelle Ling Shyan Mih of Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) only obtained 954 votes, while Ricky Enteri who is independent came in last with only 645 votes. — DayakDaily
