PRS Simanggang passes resolutions giving full support to party president, GPS chairman

KUCHING, Sept 27: Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) N.32 Simanggang Main Division passed three resolutions at its Annual General Meeting at Seri Simangang Hotel in Sri Aman today.

According to a press statement, one of the resolutions was to unanimously support the leadership of party president Datuk Joseph Salang Gandum to ensure stability and for PRS to progress forward.

The second resolution was for the party to continue to work with all Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) component parties in Simanggang Division and the whole of Sri Aman in general for the progress and prosperity of the local community.


The third resolution was to give their full support to GPS chairman and Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg’s leadership.

In the same statement, Divisional Chairwoman Dato Sri Doris Sophia Brodie, who is also the Member of Parliament for Sri Aman, in a discussion, stressed the importance of enhancing and strengthening the spirit of unity amongst party members and GPS component parties.

“When we can work together as one solid team, we are a force to be reckoned with,” she said.

Doris reminded party members that PRS will be celebrating its 19th anniversary on October 23. She reiterated the importance of knowing and understanding the party’s initial struggles as well as why and how thr party was formed.

“Until we know and can appreciate all these, we are moving forward with a void and without a vision,” said Doris.
