He emphasised that KMKK’s responsibilities, involving around 7,700 members statewide, are crucial in maintaining community wellbeing and realising government policies at the grassroots.

“This meeting is not merely a platform for discussions, but also an avenue to provide input and suggestions that can strengthen the role of KMKK,” he said in a Facebook post.

The meeting, chaired by Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, also discussed applications for KMKK positions, review of service schemes, and appointment of divisional-level selection panel members.

Among proposals highlighted were salary adjustments for community leaders, increased allowances for village heads, and improvements to streamline and strengthen KMKK’s operations in serving the ‘rakyat’ (people).

Nanta expressed hope that the meeting’s outcomes will bring greater impact to KMKK in delivering the best services to the people at the grassroots level.
