KUCHING, Oct 1: The pro tem launch of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu’s (PBB) new wing for youths aged between 18 and 28 will be held on October 5 and 6 (Saturday and Sunday) in Sibu.
According to the party’s secretary-general, Dato’ Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi, the wing is still in the pro tem stage as its regulations have to be tabled at the party’s 16th general assembly early next year.
“The regulations are completed, but there are still some processes it has to go through first before it can be fully implemented.
“It has to be tabled at the general assembly and then approved by the Registrar of Societies (ROS),” he said, according to a TVS news report.
He said this in a press conference after attending the PBB Supreme Council meeting chaired by party president and Premier of Sarawak, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, yesterday (Sept 30).
The new wing aims to act as a platform for the party’s youths aged between 18 and 28 to become involved in politics. — DayakDaily
