Primary school teacher pleads not guilty to sexually assaulting three students

KUCHING, Aug 3: A primary school teacher claimed trial to three charges of sexually assaulting three students.

The man, 37, pleaded not guilty to all three charges here today.


Sessions Court Judge Jason Juga fixed Sept 1 for pre-trial case management and allowed the accused to be released on bail of RM10,000 and with two local sureties.

He allegedly pulled a 12-year-old male student private part, kissed another 12-year-old male student on the mouth and pulled his private part, and touched a 12-year-old female student’s breast in a classroom of a school in Kuching between 9am to 10am on January 14, 2020.

He was charged under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 which is punishable under Section 14 of the same Act, and carries an imprisonment term not exceeding 10 years and liable to whipping, upon conviction. — DayakDaily
