DBKU, in a statement today, said the event’s objective was to encourage the city’s citizens to love and adopt cats and educate the public on how to care for cats.

Various interesting side activities were also held, such as Cat Uniform Competition, Cat Cage Decorating Competition, Cat Weight Guessing Competition and so on.

“It is hoped that through the organisation of the Kuching North Cat Show, it can become a platform for closer relations between DBKU and the rest of the city folk.

“In addition, it can produce citizens who are more responsible in looking after the welfare of cats in Sarawak,” the statement emphasised. — DayakDaily
