Premier’s wife distributes 500 packets of ‘bubur pedas’ to Sarawakian students, heart patients in KL

KUCHING, April 15: Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg’s wife Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang distributed 500 packet of ‘bubur pedas’ (spicy porridge) to Sarawakian students, heart patients and invited guests in Kuala Lumpur.

According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, Juma’ani, who is also advisor for Malaysian Government Servants’ Welfare and Sports Council (Maksak) Women Sarawak, distributed the contribution during a ceremony held at the Yayasan Sarawak’s Office compound in Jalan Ampang.

The recipients are from Genius@ Pintar College, higher education institutions, Persatuan Mualaf Johor (Sarawak), and patients from Institute Jantung Negara (IJN).

State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki and his wife Datin Amar Baduyah Bujang, who is also the chairwoman of Maksak Women Sarawak, were present at the ceremony.

Among others present were Minister of Women, Family and Community Development, Dato Sri Nancy Shukri, Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development Datuk Rubiah Wang, as well as Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah and Sarawak Affairs) Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib. — DayakDaily
