Premier welcomes temporary exemption of Sarawak, Sabah from diesel subsidy rationalisation

KUCHING, May 23: Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg welcomes the temporary exemption of Sarawak and Sabah from the rationalisation of diesel subsidies.

According to a news report from TV Sarawak (TVS) yesterday, Abang Johari expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim for the move.

He said that the move to impose targeted diesel subsidies in Peninsular Malaysia will help to save funds.

On May 21, Anwar said Sarawak and Sabah are temporarily exempted from the federal government’s move to rationalise subsidies diesel. — DayakDaily
