Premier receives courtesy visit from Singapore High Commissioner, discusses sovereign fund

KUCHING, Nov 10: Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg received a courtesy visit from Singapore High Commissioner His Excellency Vanu Gopala Menon at his office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia today.

According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), the courtesy visit was followed by a discussion about the cooperation in economy, investment between Sarawak and Singapore, and many others.

When met by reporters after the courtesy visit, His Excellency Vanu Gopala said Singapore and Sarawak can cooperate in various sectors such as economic development investment, innovation of new energy and many more.


“Apart from that, the Premier of Sarawak also wants to establish a Sovereign Fund for Sarawak and asked for our opinion because in Singapore, we have established several sovereign funds.

I believe we can work together to make this happen,” he added. — DayakDaily
