KUCHING, Sept 16: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has expressed his deep condolences and paid tribute to the late Datuk Talib Zulpilip, acknowledging him as a dedicated and invaluable leader.
The Premier’s remarks were conveyed during his visit to pay his respects to Datuk Talib at the Raudhatul Sakinah Kuching Complex (KRSK).
According to a news report from TV Sarawak (TVS) yesterady, Abang Johari described the passing of Talib as a profound loss for Sarawak.
He highlighted Talib’s unwavering dedication and responsibility as a leader, qualities that left a significant mark on his service.
Talib’s exceptional work was noted during his tenure as an advisor to the Sarawak Government at the Bintulu Development Board (BDA), where he contributed numerous valuable development ideas. His commitment to excellence earned him high regard in his role.
Recognising Talib’s outstanding integrity, Abang Johari revealed that he was entrusted with key responsibilities, including serving in the Sarawak Government Ombudsman and being nominated as a candidate in the previous Sarawak State Election.
The Premier also recalled his professional association with Talib, emphasising their roles as colleagues in implementing the industrial policy in 1987.
Additionally, Talib’s contributions extended beyond the state’s borders, as he served as an employee in the Sarawak public service loaned to Petronas. — DayakDaily
