KUCHING, Jan 16: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg paid a visit this morning to the grave of his late wife, Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang, at the Samariang Muslim Cemetery here, continuing his personal tradition of remembrance ahead of Friday prayers.
According to a post earlier today on the Premier’s official Facebook page, ‘Sarawakku’, Abang Johari was accompanied by their daughter, Dayang Norjihah. Both were seen reciting Surah Yasin and offering prayers, seeking Allah’s mercy and blessings for the late Juma’ani, and that her soul be placed among the faithful and the righteous.

Juma’ani passed away last year, a loss that prompted an outpouring of condolences from political leaders, community figures, and members of the public across Sarawak. Tributes poured in from all walks of life, reflecting the deep respect and affection she had earned over the years.
Many mourned her passing as the loss of a figure widely remembered for her grace and humility, as well as her quiet strength and compassion. She was often described as a steady pillar of support to the Premier throughout his long years of public service, accompanying him at official functions and community engagements while remaining grounded and approachable. Her presence and character left a lasting impression on those who met her, and she continues to be fondly remembered for the dignity and sincerity she brought to her role. — DayakDaily
