MIRI, August 21: A woman in her early 30’s from Luak claimed that her brother-in-law punched and beat her during a commotion on Monday morning.
The woman, who is in the early stages of pregnancy, claimed that the incident occurred around 4am.
Prior to the incident, upon her arrival at the house where the incident took place, her brother-in-law was already in a state of disarray.
During the ensuing quarrel, it was believed that the brother-in-law punched the woman in the face, injuring her on the lips and face.
When the complainant’s husband arrived at the house, the brother-in-law fled the scene riding on a motorcycle.
A police report was immediately lodged after the incident. — DayakDaily
