KUCHING, Dec 28: A Pre-Peak Countdown Day will be held at the Azman Hashim Community Sport Centre in Sibu Jaya on Monday (Dec 29) from 6pm to 10pm as part of preparations for the Sibu Jaya 2026 Countdown and in support of the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign.
The event will feature a range of activities including live music, singing, dance and cultural performances, as well as a magic show, aimed at attracting families, youths and visitors to take part in the year-end celebrations.
Organisers said a Pickleball Fun Game session will also be held throughout the evening from 6pm to 10pm. The activity is open to the public, including first-time players, and is intended to promote community participation in a relaxed and inclusive setting.
Held under the theme ‘Menuju 2026: Terokai Sibu, Rasai Malaysia’, the programme reflects ongoing efforts to position Sibu Jaya as an active and family-friendly destination in line with the broader Visit Malaysia 2026 initiative.
Members of the public are encouraged to attend early, participate in the activities and enjoy the festive atmosphere as Sibu Jaya builds momentum towards the 2026 celebrations. — DayakDaily
