Power Aquatics splashes to victory at 2nd Short Course Sprint 2022

KUCHING, Aug 14: Power Aquatics emerged as the overall winner of 2nd Short Course Sprint 2022.

The team also brought home the event’s first round winner’s trophy.

Speaking during the closing ceremony, Sarawak Sports Corporation (SSC) chief executive officer Morshidi Fredrik who was representing Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Dato Gerald Rentap Jabu, said Sarawak is excited to open its doors to global sporting events.

According to Gerald in his speech text which was read out by Morshidi, Sarawak has seen the returning of some international sporting events such as Spartan Race Sarawak and Borneo Trail Classic.

“Besides this, Sarawak will also host the first ever DEKA Fit event in Southeast Asia in November,” Gerald highlighted at at the Pandelela Rinong Aquatic Centre in Petra Jaya today.

The two-day event, organised by Power Aquatics Swimming Club (PASC), saw participation from 529 swimmers from across Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia and Thailand. — DayakDaily
