According to court details, the incident took place at around 2.10pm on Aug 30, when all three were driving home.

The conflict began as a result of a misunderstanding between Goh and Hafiz regarding their driving.

Investigations showed that the argument started when Goh became upset with Hafiz, who had signaled to turn right and honked at Goh’s vehicle on Jalan Padungan.

In retaliation, Goh overtook Hafiz’s car and attempted to stop him by cutting him off and driving slowly, causing both vehicles to pull over.

During the confrontation, Irman Daud tried to intervene, attempting to prevent Goh from further escalating the argument with Hafiz.

However, when Goh used pepper spray on Irman, he responded by punching Goh.

Magistrate Mason imposed a six-month good behavior bond, with a surety of RM500 (without deposit), under Section 67 of the Criminal Procedure Code.

The bond aims to prevent future incidents and protect public safety.
