SIBU, Nov 27: Police are actively searching for Nursyasya Izzati Abdullah, a 17-year-old girl reported missing since Nov 14.
She was last seen at her home in the People’s Housing Project (PPR) in Rantau Panjang after informing her family that she was going out to throw away the trash.
According to a report by TVS, Sibu District Police Chief, ACP Zulkipli Suhaili, stated that a missing person report was filed on Nov 17, and investigations are ongoing.
“The victim has previously left home without her family’s knowledge, but this time her disappearance is causing them great concern.
“We urge members of the public who have any information to come forward and assist the police,” he said in a statement yesterday.
Zulkipli added that the victim was last seen wearing a red collared T-shirt and dark long pants.
“The victim is 160cm tall, has long black hair, a slim build, and brown-skinned complexion,” he said.
Zulkipli mentioned that search efforts have been conducted in the vicinity the victim’s residence, but so far, no new leads have been found.
