KUCHING, Feb 21: Police arrested a 28-year-old man and his 21-year-old suspected female accomplice after confiscating drugs worth RM21,960 here yesterday.
The arrest was made at around 2pm, after police officers found the male suspect acting suspiciously inside a car at the parking lot of Gala City area.
After investigating the car, officers found 8 gramme of ketamine, which were packed into 17 packets, and 18 ecstasy pills under the steering compartment in the car.
“The suspect was immediately arrested and instructed to direct the police to where he was staying,” the department said.
The police searched the suspect’s home and managed to find 70g of ketamine, 50g of methamphetamine and 28 ecstasy pills in a drawer of the suspect’s room.
A woman was also arrested too during the raid and both the suspects were tested positive of drugs.
The case is being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. — DayakDaily
