KUCHING, Aug 19: A 34-year-old local man was arrested yesterday (Aug 18) to assist in the investigation of a treacherous act on car windows.
Kuching district police chief Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah said they receive a report on Aug 17 at 10.17pm regarding the incident.
He also said the incident was related to a nearly two-minute video which went viral on social media, depicting the collision of two vehicles at Jalan BDC.
The case is currently being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code for committing mischief resulting in loss or damage, which carries a jail term of up to two years, or a fine, or both.
“Upon receiving intel, on Aug 18 at 7.30pm, a team from Kuching IPD arrested the suspect at Jalan Keranji, Kuching.
“The suspect is currently being remanded from today until Aug 22 for police investigation,” he said in a statement today. — DayakDaily
