KUCHING, Sept 16: Prime Minister Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim has approved an additional RM1 billion for border development in Sarawak and Sabah.
Anwar said this in relation to his recent trip to Jakarta and the knowledge that Indonesia has decided to build the country’s new capital city in Kalimantan.
“As such, we do not want to miss out on taking advantage of that convenience to further develop the border in Sarawak and Sabah,” he said in his speech during the Malaysia Day Celebration held at Sarawak Indoor Stadium in Petra Jaya today.
