PM Anwar chairs first cabinet meeting, discussion speculated to include Budget 2023 revision

KUCHING, Dec 5: Prime Minister Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim chaired the first meeting of the new federal cabinet in Putrajaya this morning.

The meeting which attended by all Cabinet ministers started around 10am.

It is speculated that the meeting will include deliberations on Budget 2023, amongst other matters.

The previous Barisan Nasional-led (BN) federal government tabled a budget amounting to RM372 billion on Oct 7 but the budget was never approved following the dissolution of Parliament three days later.

The Pakatan Harapan-led (PH) unity government is expected to table a new version of Budget 2023 soon. — DayakDaily
