PKR Sarawak yet to discuss position on Zuraida — Sng

KUCHING, Jan 21: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Sarawak has not taken a position regarding its vice-president Zuraida Kamaruddin, according to Julau MP Larry Sng.

This, he asserted, is because they have yet to discuss the matter at their state council (MPN) meeting.

Sng was responding to reports that the PKR disciplinary committee had convened to issue a showcause letter to Zuraida for purportedly making certain comments during a speech at a “Shared Prosperity Vision” function on December 8 in Kuala Lumpur.

“It is high time that the disciplinary committee takes action against leaders who openly defy the central leadership. Not only does it weaken the party but it delays the leadership transition of the Prime Ministership.

“I am sure that the majority of the party members feel betrayed by Zuraida and her supporters’ actions. The party should sack these people immediately before they do further damage,” according to Sng in a statement.

He added that the issue has dragged on for too long and gone too far. — DayakDaily
