KUCHING, Mar 14: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Sarawak branch chairman Larry Sng disclosed that Harrison Ngau, who served as Baram MP from 1990 to 1995, has joined the party in its fights and struggles.

Sng said award-winning environmentalist Harrison, a Kayan, would be joining the party together with many like-minded Dayak, Malay and Chinese leaders who are ready to serve their country through PKR.

“As leaders come and go, I am confident that there is now even more room for us to grow.

“Moving forward, I can assure PKR members in Sarawak that it is my utmost priority to ensure that the party’s culture remains as it was before.

“We will still fight for native customary rights (NCR) land issues, native rights, anti-corruption, environmental issues and so forth.

“We will not compromise our principles and move away from our supporters who have trusted and fought for the party throughout the last 20 years,” Sng, who is Julau MP, said in a statement.

In the meantime, he pointed out that those who have left PKR Sarawak in pursuit of position and power will forever be remembered as traitors.

Sng himself was newly appointed as PKR Sarawak branch chairman on Mar 12. He joined PKR after winning the Julau parliamentary constituency as an independent in GE14.—DayakDaily
