KUCHING, Oct 8: The Public Works Department (JKR) Sarawak has announced a phased traffic diversion at Tamu Simanggang, Jalan Astana in Sri Aman, starting from Oct 2024 until the completion of the ongoing road upgrade project.

According to a notice, the construction works involve the widening of Jalan Astana from its current two lanes to four lanes, alongside other related infrastructure enhancements.

For further inquiries related to the traffic flow changes, the public is encouraged to contact the JKR Sri Aman Division office during office hours at 083-322 181.

JKR Sarawak is urging all road users to exercise caution when travelling through the affected areas and to adhere to all signage and instructions provided to ensure safety at the construction site. — DayakDaily
